Transformed from within The world’s second largest nation is characterised by contrast and contradiction. India’s rich are getting richer, while her poor are sinking deeper into a seemingly-unbreakable cycle of poverty and deprivation.
While privileged and educated people are discovering a world of opportunity, centuries-old traditions of segregation and oppression continue. For the low casteand Dalit-Bahujan people (untouchables) there seems no hope of a better life.
OM India Ministries is committed to ending this type of oppression on all levels and emphasizing education, economics, human development, social justice and spiritual transformation. Our ministries are focused on the Dalit-Bahujan people. OM India Ministries is dedicated to training and equipping national Indian Christian workers as instruments of culturally sensitive, innovative methods of transformation.
Almost 2,000 Indian men and women are devoted to serving Christ in their nation with OM India Ministries. These national workers serve in Good Shepherd Community Churches, Dalit Education, Advocacy and Human Rights, Theological Education and Personnel Development and Women’s Ministry and Empowerment.
Jesus brought love and freedom to the poor and the oppressed. Are you someone who can demonstrate His compassion and oppose injustice to bring about spiritual and social transformation? Destination: India. |
